Through your teacher. They'll send you an invite by email, or share their booking page, where you pick a time that suits you. Either way you confirm you're 18 or over when you join.

Wherever your teacher chooses: the MyOwnTeach video room, which opens in your browser on the lesson page, or their own link such as Zoom, Google Meet or Teams. Either way, the lesson page has the button to join. You'll get a confirmation and a reminder before each lesson.

Booking pages show your teacher's free times in your own time zone, and lesson emails show both times, yours and your teacher's. If one of your countries changes its clocks before the other, a weekly lesson can move by an hour for you for a week or so.

Your teacher sets their own prices in their own currency, and you'll see the price before you book. Some teachers take card payments through Stripe, and you'll get a link to pay. Others take PayPal, Wise, bank transfer or cash, and their instructions show on the lesson. Money paid that way goes to your teacher directly, not through MyOwnTeach.

Each teacher sets their own cancellation policy. For card payments, a refund follows that policy automatically, and you always get a full refund if your teacher cancels. If you paid your teacher another way, any refund is between you and them.

Adults. Every student confirms they're 18 or over. There are no accounts for children or parents.

Yes. Export your data or delete your account from Settings at any time.
