MyOwnTeach

MyOwnTeach next to a marketplace

Language marketplaces find you students, then keep a share of what those students pay for as long as they stay. MyOwnTeach doesn't find you students. It runs the ones you already have, for a flat monthly fee and 0% commission.

Your students stay yours

On a marketplace the platform holds the relationship. Here you hold the records and the contact details, and you can export them any time.

A flat fee, not a cut

A commission grows with every lesson you teach. Our fee doesn't: free for up to 5 students, then one monthly price for your region.

Built for other time zones

Your booking page shows free slots in each visitor's own time. Reminders carry both clocks, and weekly lessons keep their time when the clocks change.

Works where cards don't

Stripe Connect isn't in every country. Where it isn't, record PayPal, Wise, bank or cash payments and keep using everything else.

What we don't do

Plainly:

  • We don't find you students. A marketplace brings new students to you. MyOwnTeach is for the ones you already have, and the ones who find you through your own booking link.
  • Built-in video is on Pro only. On Free, paste your Zoom, Google Meet or any other link. Every plan can use its own link, and change it for a single lesson.
  • Stripe's fee applies to card payments. It goes to Stripe, not to us. See what you keep

Marketplaces differ from each other. The middle column is the common pattern, not a claim about any one company; check the terms of the one you use.
